Porsche’s 935 race car inspired German tuners like Ruf and Kremer to start modifying customer cars with frontend bodywork similar to the 1979 Le Mans winner. The changes disposed of the 911s traditional bug-eye headlights and replaced them with sloping fenders and popup lighting. In 1981, Porsche started offering a factory-option “Flachbau” front for the 930 — the internal code for the 911 Turbo. Only 948 were built over the eight-year production run. With the more aerodynamic bodywork, the 930 Slantnose was faster from 0-60 and could reach a top speed of over 170 MPH. This 1987 930 is immaculate inside and out and is in almost completely original condition. With the market for classic Porsches and the rarity of the factory bodywork, expect this to collect a premium when it crosses the auction block.
